Madavi Oliver : Madavi's association with NSF started with a chance observation of a flier in a temple inviting people to attend a walkathon and raise scholarships for poor children in India. Strongly believing that education is a way to bring someone out of poverty she attended that first walkathon in 2001 and has been volunteering for NSF since then.She has helped in organizing fund raising events like walkathons, Dollar - A - Square, FUNdBee in MA.She has also been involved in MA contests activity since 2002.Madavi has Masters degrees in Electrical and Biomedical engineering, and was working at the Harvard School of Public Health in a research lab studying the Biomechanics of airway smooth muscle. Gaugarin Oliver, (spouse) started a software research company in US and Nagercoil and hence the move to Nagercoil for the 09-10 academic year. Her children Iris and Ethan are in grades 7 and 5. Her whole family has been involved with NSF in some form or the other over the past 9 years.
